Hi Zuma,

I've been a fan of yours for years and respect what you do. Just a topic I wanted to make your aware of. Although this issue is not on the top of the list for our city, someone needs to talk about the fraud that is the California Lottery. In particular, what happens is that they sell "scratcher" tickets and the top prizes range from $10,000 to $1,000,000 dollars. What they don't say is that there are only one or two top prizes and those tickets are often bought within 2-3 days of a new lottery scratcher ticket being released. They go by serial numbers and the state KNOWS when the winning tickets have been bought,  yet they do not inform the community that you have NO chance of winning a major prize after that.  Yet the tickets in BOLD print still say you have a chance at winning those grand prizes. I see people in poverty buying scratcher lottery tickets, thinking they have a chance at the bigger prizes. Yet as I mentioned, they are sold within days of a new scratcher ticket being released to the public and the state KNOWS by serial number that the big prizes were sold but continue to tell the public that they could win big, generating millions for the crooks in government yet lying and bamboozling the innocent people playing the lottery thinking they have a chance. You are a legend and I hope you remain a community activist.

  1. The California Lottery website has a page that states the number of prizes available, the number of prizes claimed and the number of prizes remaining. Most of the games have 80 or more grand prizes.
