Message: Hey ZD, just a little something, I hope it helps. I've been
following your work since the election and I appreciate the things that
you do for the residents of the City of Los Angeles. Please keep up the
good work.

I can only imagine how hard it is for you to keep pushing forward but
just know that as long as you are doing what is right, Light (Good)
always defeats darkness (evil).

May the Lord Bless you and keep you and make his face to shine upon
you, be gracious to you and grant you peace Amen.

I'll be praying for you.

Thank you for being the community advocate and intelligent leader that you are. I have watched your show on Public Access from day one and understood your sense of humor. You are one of the few people who do not just complain about problems, but you seek to do your part to correct problems in our city.  You are brave and a leader for more people than you know.  Please continue your work in whatever form you think can be most effective. You are so intelligent, charismatic and influential that I hope you do not remove yourself from the social landscape. I personally work for in digital electronics so if you ever need help with anything technological, feel free to contact me.(Be it website development, bandwith issues or internet questions).....do not hesitate to question me...of course free of charge. Don't fade out and think you can't still make a difference. Hang in there..you are a champion of the working class and you MUST continue to stay in the game. Anyway I can help you let me know and best of luck in you going forward with your mission.

An issue with the Lottery

Hi Zuma,

I've been a fan of yours for years and respect what you do. Just a topic I wanted to make your aware of. Although this issue is not on the top of the list for our city, someone needs to talk about the fraud that is the California Lottery. In particular, what happens is that they sell "scratcher" tickets and the top prizes range from $10,000 to $1,000,000 dollars. What they don't say is that there are only one or two top prizes and those tickets are often bought within 2-3 days of a new lottery scratcher ticket being released. They go by serial numbers and the state KNOWS when the winning tickets have been bought,  yet they do not inform the community that you have NO chance of winning a major prize after that.  Yet the tickets in BOLD print still say you have a chance at winning those grand prizes. I see people in poverty buying scratcher lottery tickets, thinking they have a chance at the bigger prizes. Yet as I mentioned, they are sold within days of a new scratcher ticket being released to the public and the state KNOWS by serial number that the big prizes were sold but continue to tell the public that they could win big, generating millions for the crooks in government yet lying and bamboozling the innocent people playing the lottery thinking they have a chance. You are a legend and I hope you remain a community activist.

I've been a big fan of yours from Day One. Anyway, I lost my job this last month due to downsizing, my phone then got shut off, my car broke down, the landlord increased my rent and just one thing after another. I happened to catch a little of you talking about your own struggle(living in your car,etc)..and you just said for everyone to get the hell out everyday and just make something happen...to be you and be productive. I heard that at the exact right time because I was downright ready to give up with all the bullshit that came into my life the last couple months. You never know who you are reaching with your show, with the city fight or whatever you do. Just keep doing it and hang in there. You inspire more people than you know...

YOUR BID FOR MAYOR

To: zumadogg@gmail.com

Dear Zuma Dogg

Thank you for the courage you have shown to the people of Los Angeles by your bid to be Mayor, I voted for you because in the years I seen you at the City Council, you stood your ground.

You are for the people and our Politicians are for their own agenda, so you had nobody to work with downtown. They are not ready for the truth and accountability to their constituents.

Our Mayor, Councilwoman Janice Hahn and their so called community leaders of Watts has pimped this community clean.

They work with the scum, that has held this community down for years, but as long as they are given the funds by the Mayor and Hahn, the community receive no benefits.

We had asked for a meeting with the Mayor in 2005, 06,07 and 08 with no response because we(seniors) are not part of the click. We are not wanted or asked to meetings because we speak out
against what is going on in Watts. Millions of dollars have been allotted for Watts since the 1965 riot, but we have nothing to show for it, accept Politicians and their click of people. How can these Non-profits in Watts buy so much property but quality of life for the people has not change,
these are the political back non-profit who is getting the funds.

You gave us courage to keep on fighting the Mayor and Hahn because someday and we hope it is soon, that the troth will come out about our Politicians in Los Angeles.

Mary
